Why is that the case, and what does that mean for working women?, A., As much as there has been progress around professional women and dual-working families over the past two to three decades, there were still patterns of inequity where more of the 鈥渟econd shift鈥 of鈥, Q. Do you see those support systems for working families returning?, A., There鈥檚 such uncertainty around if, how and when any reliable supports for working parents are coming back, and that鈥檚 been nagging me. You could argue that the situation is even more stark right鈥, Q. What are those unintended consequences?, A., I鈥檓 concerned that in the absence of these social systems that support working families, people are going to do a mishmash of their own thing: putting their kids in unregulated child care settings鈥, Q.
